Intern; Minority or American; will gain referable work experience, improve language skills, comprehend business culture and develop business networking.

Overview:

We recruit, assess, and allocate American interns and Jishou (Hunan) minority interns to a committed open-end short term assignment to suitable host companies in China (primarily Shanghai). Strict intern selection process will be followed to meet program criteria. Host companies have specific minimum charity resource commitment for each intern but not obligated for long term employment. Minimum charity resources are listed below for each intern. We encourages additional charity contribution to support other EAFI branch programs. Our program adviser will handle intern compensation during the internship in a uniform way for all interns.

The current program resource will facilitate one American intern with 3~4 minority interns. Any company hosts four or more interns will likely have a full time American intern. Internship starts with 3 months commitment and can be extended additional 3 months periods thru our program. At end of the first or second 3-month period and at host company sole discretion the decision of permanent employment or program completion needs to be communicated with our adviser for further action.

Minimum Charity Resource Commitments:

For each intern hose company will commit to provide following:

As an option our program can facilitate travel, living arrangements, and other logistics for interns to simplify host company obligation down to just overall funding support.

Intern selection process:

Intern Selection will follow abbreviated job hiring process. All interns will complete a comprehensive application (including qualifications, experience, and field of specialization). Our advisers will filter interns based on intern’s qualification, host companies job description and overview of hose company business background. Upon completion, interns will be paired with the most suitable companies and hiring manager will be given the opportunity to review qualifications and select 3~4 intern candidates for each position. Based on final phone interview, host company can select their preferred candidate to start the internship right away.
