TEACHING POSITIONS IN CHINA

The Education Advancement Fund International is currently recruiting teachers to teach in China for the spring semester 2005, fall 2005, and 2006 (starting in February).

There are two positions:
• EFL teacher at "Jishou Number One Middle School"
• EFL teacher at " Jishou Normal College " (a teacher-training college)
• EFL teacher at Baojing Minority Middle School
• EFL teacher and nursing teachers Benxi Nursing School
• Engineers and EFL teachers Benxi Metallurgy Technical College

Both schools are located in Jishou, a town of some 300,000 people nestled in the beautiful rice-paddy covered hills of Hunan province and home to the Miau and Tujia minorities.

Responsibilities for both positions :
• 15-17 hours of classroom teaching per week
• Possible additional teaching requirements (e.g. weekly extracurricular activities, occasional staff training)

Remuneration :
• Full airfare reimbursed upon completion of one year contract
• Free room and board
• Free Chinese lessons
• Monthly salary of RMB 3500 (approx. US$ 400)
• Tremendous satisfaction from interacting with extremely keen students

Requirements :
• Fluent English (native speakers preferred)
• TEFL certification or other teaching credential and teaching experience desirable
• Flexible, open-minded personality with good sense of humor and great tolerance for ambiguity
