Jishou city is the capital of the Tu and Miao Minorities Autonomous Region, which has an annual per capita income of $300 (US). Since most of our students will come from this poor region, the school will provide exceptional opportunities to deserving students, especially women and minority students, from poor backgrounds.
The school is a coeducational institution with 3600 students. Through course work and superior educational instruction, students, grades 7-12, will achieve outstanding intellectual, moral, and physical development in preparation for college and vocational careers, possibilities hitherto beyond the reach of students with such backgrounds. Students will be prepared to attain high international standards of academic achievement, intellectual growth, ethical awareness and behavior, cultural tolerance, and service to others.
The school takes leadership seriously and stresses moral character for all of our students. Learn more about Jishou school at EAFI's 2004 Jishou Leadership Program.
